Below is a list of issues or imperfections she has.
- The fuel gauge doesn’t work properly all the time. When full, it will usually show between 1/2 and 3/4, and stays that way for a while. Below 1/2 tank it will usually follow the actual level with fair accuracy, then drop to zero. I’ve seen there are fixes for it through tuning, but I’ve never attempted, as it works well enough.
- I recently went into a steep driveway at a weird angle with the coilovers too soft, so the right front tire hit the fender and tweaked it a little. I was able to straighten most of it out, but the paint cracked on the edge above the tire. See the included pictures.
- The front skinny tires are old and cracking, so should be replaced if using the skinny wheels. The current front tires on the wider wheels are new.
- The rear drag radials are a few years old, so if drag racing, would be helpful to replace them.
- The included ZL1 wheels have curb rash, though not too severe, and two are missing the center caps. No rear tires are included for them.
- There are a few small scratches and such that are typical for a street driven car. Two are through the paint, one on the center top of the splitter, and one on the top front left corner of the fascia.
- Since the turbo kit is a race version and made for use with a 4L85, getting it to fit with the physically bigger 6L80 was difficult, and required denting the transmission pan in the front corners. The valve body and rest of the transmission components is not dented or damaged, and everything functions perfectly.
- Since the intercooler is so large and thick, it blocks a lot of air to the radiator. Normal driving without AC on has never been an issue, but the coolant temperature goes high when using the AC in hot weather and city driving. Unless it’s a real hot day, driving on the freeway with AC is usually fine, and like mentioned, driving any time without the AC on is no problem.
- The battery well cover in the trunk is cracked in a spot, see the picture.
